Chong Sun

Chong Sun has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Chong started their career as a Research Assistant at Computer Science in UW Madison in 2008. Chong then worked as an Intern at IBM Almaden in 2008 and 2010. In 2012, Chong joined @Walmartlabs as a Staff Software Engineer, where they worked until 2014. Following that, they worked at Uber as a Manager, Senior Staff, focusing on building the brain that powers Uber's marketplace. Chong then joined Tencent in 2020 as a Senior Director, where they supported data and intelligence for various Tencent products. In 2022, they joined Tempo as the Senior Director of Engineering, where they led the revamp of the data foundation and implemented data governance best practices. Currently, Chong is the Senior Director of Engineering at Archer, starting in 2023.

Chong Sun completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore, which they completed between 2004 and 2006.
