Yannis Panagakis

Yannis Panagakis is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in machine learning and signal processing. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens since November 2019, Yannis also holds the position of Senior Researcher at Archimedes - AI Research Hub and is the Cofounder and AI Research Lead at Cogitat, both roles initiated in 2023. Additionally, Yannis has been an Honorary Research Fellow at Imperial College London since June 2020, following a tenure there as a Research Fellow and Research Associate from July 2012 to October 2019. Previous experience includes a Senior Researcher role at Samsung Electronics AI Center and various academic positions at Middlesex University. Yannis earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Telecommunications from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon.
