Katherine is an LA-based writer, editor, and visual artist. As a writer, she focuses on architecture's relationship to media and cultural studies, social policy, urbanism, and behavioral economics. Her design interests involve blending art, narrative environments, and lighting design. Her work has been exhibited at the A+D Museum, LA Design Festival x Dopium LA, the Japanese American Cultural Museum in L.A., and the Ideas Bit Factory in Milan. In March 2017, she published a children's book titled "How Do You Spell Courage."
She received her B.A. in Communication Disorders and a Minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Redlands. She's completed programs at SCI-Arc's M+M program and the A.A. Visiting School. She has also completed foundational course work from ArtCenter College of Design, The School of Architecture at UIC, and UCLA's Architecture + Interior Design extension program. She's also completed a summer residency at the SVA for Design Research, Writing, and Criticism.
