Melanie Könnecke

Melanie K. is an experienced Epidemiologist currently working at the Public Health Agency of Canada since March 2023, specializing in knowledge synthesis within the Public Health Risk Sciences Division. Prior to this role, Melanie served as a Research Associate at the University of Ottawa, contributing to significant projects on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness and conducting meta-analyses using statistical software R. Melanie also held a Practicum Student position with the Public Health Agency of Canada, where a comprehensive evidence brief on COVID-19 vaccination safety was prepared. Previous work includes data analysis for Global Advantage Consulting Group and various roles in education and marketing, alongside a strong academic background with a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph.
