YIHUA PEI

Yihua Pei is currently a Senior Scientist at Arcturus Therapeutics since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the roles of Scientist II from December 2021 to January 2023 and Scientist I from July 2019 to December 2021 at the same company. Before joining Arcturus Therapeutics, Yihua worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University from October 2018 to June 2019. They also worked as a Research Assistant from September 2013 to August 2018 and as a Teaching Assistant from August 2013 to May 2014 at Purdue University. Yihua gained experience as a Summer Intern at Genentech in June 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher at Dongguk University, College of Pharmacy from February 2012 to August 2013, where they focused on isolating and elucidating the structures of bioactive compounds derived from natural products. They also gained experience in various analytical techniques during this time. Before that, Yihua worked as a Research Assistant at Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) from September 2009 to February 2012, where they investigated antiviral agents. Yihua started their career as an Undergraduate Intern at Peking University Health Science Center from January 2009 to May 2009.

Yihua Pei completed their Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy at China Pharmaceutical University from 2005 to 2009. They then pursued a Master's Degree in Natural Products Chemistry and Pharmacognosy at the University of Science and Technology, KRIBB Campus from 2009 to 2012. Subsequently, Yihua Pei obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from Purdue University between 2013 and 2018.
