Sireen Shakhshir

Sireen Shakhshir is an experienced professional currently serving as a Jobb och utbildning coach at Folkuniversitetet and Folkuniversitet Växjö since January 2022, as well as at Arcus since October 2021. Sireen also holds the position of International Coordinator for MENA at Linnaeus University since April 2016. With a longstanding commitment to gender issues, Sireen has been a Regional Gender Coordinator for various organizations, including IFAD since March 2009 and at the Ministry of Women's Affairs since August 2009. Additional roles include being Head of the Social Research Department at MOWA and Coordinator for the National Committee on Gender-Based Violence at UNFPA in Palestine since March 2008, along with activities as a Librarian and Grant Assistant at Birzeit University Women’s Studies Center since November 1999. Sireen’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in International Migration and Ethnic Relations from Malmö University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Birzeit University, alongside a Master's degree in Islamic History and Culture from the same institution.
