Vidmantas Tomkus

Vidmantas Tomkus has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Vidmantas is currently working as a Program Manager in the telecommunications and quantum field at Astrolight. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher at the Department of Laser Technologies of the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology. Vidmantas also has experience as a CEO at Arcus Novus UAB and Herkus UAB. Vidmantas has held positions of Director at the Lithuanian Space Association and Dicto Citius UAB. Additionally, they have served as a Member of the Board and Consultant at the Lithuanian Aerospace Association. Vidmantas began their career as a Junior Research Analyst at the Institute of Semiconductors of Lithuania.

Vidmantas Tomkus began their education at Vilnius 16-th school in 1969, where they studied but did not obtain a degree. Vidmantas then pursued a Master's Degree in Semiconductor Physics at Vilnius University from 1980 to 1985. Years later, from 2015 to 2019, they engaged in PhD studies in Material Engineering at both the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology and Vilnius University. Ultimately, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Material Engineering.
