Anne van Abbema

Anne Van Abbema is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in oncology and immunology research, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Arcus Biosciences since May 2021. Prior roles include Senior Scientist positions at Gritstone Oncology and significant contributions to various projects at Bayer, Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Genentech, PDL BioPharma, Abgenix, Signature Bioscience, PDL (Protein Design Labs), and Chiron Corp. Anne has developed and performed a wide range of cell-based assays, including those for cytotoxicity and cellular proliferation, and has contributed to the advancement of numerous projects from early to late-stage research. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Physiology and BioPhysics from Indiana University Indianapolis and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
