Vinay Vyas

Vinay Vyas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Vinay is currently working as a DevOps Lead at Arcus Biosciences since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Definitive Healthcare as a DevOps Lead, where they were responsible for infrastructure automation using Terraform and designing and developing a Kubernetes cluster. Vinay also promoted DevOps concepts and enabled continuous delivery for data projects and pipelines.

Before that, Vinay worked at Evolent Health as an Associate Director of DevOps, leading a team of engineers and setting up infrastructure using ARM templates. Vinay also worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer and Associate Configuration Manager at Evolent Health, where they focused on infrastructure optimization, database deployment automation, and production system support.

Vinay also has experience working as a Software Development Engineer at Inovalon, where they contributed to continuous integration efforts and automated product deployments. Vinay worked on similar roles as an Associate Software Development Engineer.

In addition to their industry experience, Vinay has also worked as a Computer Science Instructor at Johns Hopkins University, teaching web development to students. Vinay has also worked as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where they contributed to a malarial parasite project.

Earlier in their career, Vinay worked as a Bioinformatics Developer at the National Agricultural Library and as a Biophysics Intern at MedImmune. Vinay also worked as a Database Administrator/Developer at Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Vinay Vyas holds a B.Tech degree in Bioinformatics from Dr. DY Patil Institute for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, which they obtained from 2005 to 2009. Vinay then pursued a Master's degree in Bioinformatics from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2010. Finally, Vinay obtained another Master's degree in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2012.
