David Chu

David Chu joined the clinical development team at Arcutis in January 2021 after having served as director, clinical development in immunology/dermatology at Janssen Pharmaceuticals. Dr Chu is a board-certified dermatologist, and prior to his transition to industry, he served as director of contact dermatitis at Scripps Clinic Medical Group, treating patients with a wide range of immune-mediated skin disease. Previously, Dr Chu had been an assistant clinical professor in dermatology at NYU, where he trained as a dermatology resident, while also completing a postdoctoral research fellowship at Rockefeller University. Dr Chu earned both his MD and PhD degrees from the University of California, San Francisco and graduated from Harvard University with a BA magna cum laude in Biochemical Sciences.
