In addition to their current role, Kirk is also the Principal/Owner at Vorticity Consulting since 2007. Prior to their current positions, Kirk has held various meteorologist roles at companies such as Chinook Wind, CH2M HILL, GeoResearch, Inc (now Bison Engineering), and Beak Consultants. Kirk graduated from North Carolina State University in 1981.
