Lauren Friedman has extensive experience in prevention and community education, currently serving as a Prevention Specialist at Area Agency on Aging, Region One, Inc. since July 2013. In this role, Lauren delivers mental health workshops and presentations focused on positive psychology, medication management, and suicide prevention for seniors and the broader community, while also leading initiatives like the Maricopa Elder Behavioral Health Advocacy Coalition. Previously, Lauren held positions at Catholic Charities USA, where programs aimed at youth development were implemented, and worked as a Cohort 2 Ambassador for CADCA, supporting community coalitions. Earlier experience includes providing substance abuse prevention services to youth at Community Bridges. Lauren holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Wellness with a focus on Health Promotion from Arizona State University.
