John F. has extensive experience in the advertising and creative industry. John started their career as a Copywriter at Hal Riney & Partners in 1997. From there, they worked as a Freelance Creative Director at Landor, where they played a key role in launching the successful "American Luxury" campaign for Lincoln and Mercury automobiles.
In 2001, John joined Team One as a Senior Copywriter, focusing on helping Lexus become the top luxury brand in the automotive category. John played a crucial role in rethinking and redesigning collateral materials for Lexus, including brochures, billboards, and dealership messaging.
John then joined Merkley + Partners as an Associate Creative Director, where they managed copywriters and led the agency's first official Design Group for Mercedes-Benz. John'sinnovative work helped expand the agency's offering beyond traditional advertising and received industry recognition.
At INNOCEAN USA, John served as a Senior/Lead Copywriter, primarily working on automotive accounts and leading the Chicago office. John was responsible for creating copy and messaging for over 25 different dealer groups in the Midwest.
In 2015, John was recruited by Cloudera as a Senior Writer/Copy Chief to establish a consistent brand identity in the Tech/IT space. John partnered with the Executive Worldwide Creative Director to introduce Cloudera's potential in data management, AI, IoT, and cybersecurity, contributing to their transition into a publicly traded company.
John's next role was at Continuum Clinical, where they served as an Associate Creative Director-Helathcare Copy. John managed all patient- and HCP-facing copy and messaging for various healthcare and pharma companies globally, while also overseeing a team of copywriters and proofreaders.
John then moved on to Razorfish Health as a Group Copy Supervisor, leading the copy team for healthcare advertising projects. Currently, John is working as an Associate Creative Director at Area 23, contributing their expertise to the agency's creative projects.
John F.'s education history includes attending Miami Ad School Atlanta @ Portfolio Center from 1992 to 1994, where they studied copywriting. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 1986 to 1990.
