Rena Iglehart

Rena Iglehart has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Resident Assistant at Texas State University while also serving as a Films Coordinator, where they organized film screenings, coordinated panels, and assisted in planning campus activities. In 2010, they interned at News 8 Austin as a News Intern, where they worked on the assignment desk, produced web stories, and covered breaking news events. Rena also had internships at the Worldfest International Film Festival and The American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, where they gained experience in film production and videography.

From 2011 to 2013, Rena worked as an Assistant Video Editor at Franklin Nava Multicultural Advertising, creating and editing TV commercials for various advertising campaigns. Rena then joined Photo Texas Photography as a Lead Photographer, where they developed and managed corporate partnerships, provided leadership in coordinating photo shoots, and ensured the timely delivery of final media to clients.

In 2014, Rena became a Career Technology and Education Teacher at Texans Can Academies, where they taught students about entrepreneurship and provided career guidance. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as an Entrepreneurship Teacher at Legacy The School of Sport Sciences.

Currently, Rena is working at OUTFRONT Media as a Professional Photographer, a role they began in 2022.

Rena Iglehart completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Digital Media Studies from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in the years 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Texas State University between 2006 and 2010. In addition to their educational background, they have also obtained various certifications such as SBE from the Port of Houston Authority and Metro in January 2016, as well as certifications from the City of Houston in November 2015 including City of Houston, HUB, Minority Business Enterprise, and Women Business Enterprise.
