Mekarl Ashwin Sanichur

Mekarl Ashwin Sanichur has extensive work experience in the field of solution architecture, data science, and project management. Mekarl Ashwin is currently serving as the Head of Solution Architecture | Data Science at Arealytics. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at Virtual Architect, where they developed custom solutions for the construction and property industries, focusing on digital innovation, compliance alignment, and process improvement.

Before joining Virtual Architect, Mekarl co-founded Alchemy Infrastructure Management Solutions and served as the Director. In this role, they implemented operational management processes, managed resources, and ensured successful project delivery. Additionally, they gained experience in sustainability, technology management, and facilities management as a Solution Development Manager at LDM Facilities Management Services.

Earlier in their career, Mekarl worked as a Facilities Management Consultant and a Project Manager at LDM Facilities Management Services and LDM Consulting respectively.

Mekarl Ashwin Sanichur attended New West Secondary School from 1998 to 2002. After completing secondary school, they enrolled at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Property Development from 2003 to 2007. In July 2013, Mekarl obtained certification as a Green Building Accredited Professional from the Green Building Council South Africa.
