Maja Sever has had an extensive work experience in various companies. Maja started their career as a Sales Associate at American Paging in 1996. Maja then joined Ericsson as a Communications and Event Manager, where they had global responsibilities in coordinating messaging across brands, countries, and functions. In 2003, they moved to Electrolux as a Communications Manager for Electrolux IT, where they had global responsibilities for creating and implementing the branding platform for Electrolux IT services. Maja then joined MasterCard Europe as the Head of Communications for High Growth European Markets, where they were fully responsible for developing and implementing a region-wide communications strategy. After that, Maja worked at East Capital as a Marketing Manager, where they had global responsibilities for brand strategies and marketing campaigns. Maja then joined Projectplace as the Head of International PR, where they managed PR strategy and tactics. Maja was later promoted to the Head of Brand and Communications, responsible for global brand and communications at the company. Before their current role, Maja worked at Planview as the Director of Global Brand and Communications. Since 2019, they have been serving as the CMO / Head of Brand, Marketing, and Communications at Arelion.
Maja Sever holds a B.B.A. Honors degree in Marketing / Intl. business from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, which they obtained from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed their high school education with a degree in Economics at Prva Ekonomska Skola in Belgrade, Serbia from 1988 to 1992. Maja has also acquired certification in "Unconscious Bias" from LinkedIn in 2021.
