Jess Calo

From surgical operations to business development, Jess has a knack for building operational efficiencies to leverage growth–spanning healthcare organizations across both the U.S. and the U.K. Having a Bachelor of Public Health during the heat of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Jess had a firsthand understanding of the impacts on both the public as well as frontline healthcare workers. She decided to continue this education through a Master of Healthcare Administration degree at the Ohio State University to better understand the decision-making process hospital administrators undergo to try and best support their staff. Jess unreservedly believes that the next era of healthcare breakthroughs will come through the evolution of care delivery. She has pursued this innovation throughout the healthcare industry-- gaining experience in telehealth and care navigation, and most recently, enterprise surgical operations at the Cleveland Clinic. Jess is thrilled to have settled into the Arena Labs team, drawn to the mission to reinvigorate the care delivery model from a unique angle.
