Lamine Mbow

Lamine Mbow has an extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Lamine currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Global Head of Cancer Immunology & Immune Modulation at Boehringer Ingelheim since September 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from October 2021.

Before joining Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Lamine Mbow served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Ichnos Sciences from June 2021 to October 2021. Lamine also had the role of Senior Vice President & Head of Biologics Discovery at Ichnos Sciences from May 2018 to June 2021.

Lamine Mbow's earlier experiences include working as the Executive Director of Immunology & Inflammation at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals from August 2011 to May 2018. Lamine also held positions at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, and Centocor in various scientific and leadership roles.

Their career began with postdoctoral fellowships at Colorado State University and the Centers for Disease Control. Overall, Lamine Mbow has built a strong background in scientific research and leadership, specifically in the areas of cancer immunology, immune modulation, and biologics discovery.

Lamine Mbow completed their PhD in Immunology at the Université de Neuchâtel from 1990 to 1994.
