Associate Director, Study Recruitment Optimization at Arena Pharmaceuticals

Renée Kulick Bell, CCRC has extensive experience in the field of clinical research. Renée started their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Boca Raton Medical Research in 2000. Renée then joined the Segal Institute for Clinical Research in 2001, where they worked as a Quality Assurance Manager, conducting audits and leading a team of QA/QC staff.

In 2009, Renée became the Director of Clinical Research at Neurocare Center for Research, where they successfully launched Phase I studies and expanded their therapeutic areas. Renée also improved patient recruitment by developing a subject registration database.

Renée joined MediciGlobal Inc., Patient Recruitment & Retention in 2012 as the Director of Clinical Operations. There, they conducted routine audits and managed internal teams, providing strategic direction to active programs.

Renée continued their career at Neurovations Clinical Research and Education in Pain and Neuroscience in 2013 as the Director of Clinical Research. Renée conducted audits, audited regulatory documents, and created and implemented a facility plan conducive to research.

In 2014, they joined Quintiles as the Manager of Strategic Site Relations. Renée focused on selecting the right sites for studies and improving capabilities for enhanced recruitment performance.

Renée then moved to IQVIA in 2016 as the Senior Patient Recruitment Lead. In this role, they oversaw patient recruitment vendors for Biogen's MCI/AD portfolio and developed patient recruitment tools and tactics for global studies. Renée also presented strategies and tactics in business development and project delivery settings and managed recruitment and retention programs.

Currently, Renée is working as the Associate Director of Study Recruitment Optimization at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. starting in 2019.

Renée also has teaching experience as a Panel Member and Lecturer at the Boston College - Clinical Research Certificate Program from 2010 to 2012.

Throughout their career, Renée has demonstrated strong skills in recruitment, regulatory compliance, and team management.

Renée Kulick Bell, CCRC holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Albany, which they obtained from 1986 to 1988. Prior to that, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Oswego from 1984 to 1986. In addition to their academic qualifications, Renée Kulick Bell has obtained several certifications, including Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC®) from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in 2014, Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from the same institution in 2014, and certifications in quality system design for medical devices, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals from cGMP University Inc in 2014. Renée also completed training through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) in March 2014.
