Guicho Pons English has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the real estate and finance industries.
Guicho Pons began their career in 1995 as a Senior Audit at Ernst & Young before moving on to work as a Division Controller at Newmark Homes from 2001 to 2003.
From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Manager in Transaction Support Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
In 2005, they joined Regus as the Director of Corporate Development, overseeing mergers and acquisitions and portfolio acquisitions.
Guicho Pons then joined Alvarez & Marsal in 2006 as a Senior Director, providing interim leadership services for distressed companies. Guicho Pons served as the EVP of Development for Canyons Resort / Varde Partners, managing a large portfolio of hospitality and multi-family projects.
In 2017, Guicho Pons English became the Executive Vice President at Ohana Real Estate Investors, where they led the development of a multi-phase master planned community in Los Cabos.
Guicho Pons later became the Chief Investment Officer and Interim CFO at Collective Retreats, where they played a key role in raising equity funding and grew the company's valuation significantly.
Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Finance at Areté Collective, a developer of restorative escapes that prioritize nature and low-impact principles.
Guicho Pons English has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University.
