Laboratory Operations Manager at ArgenTAG

Ignacio Garcia Labari has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. Ignacio began their career as a Researcher in R&D for INBIOAR S.A. in 2011. Ignacio then worked as a Professor of Natural Sciences for STELLA MARIS from 2018 to 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as an Assistant Scientist for the Joint Biotechnology-Aquatic Laboratory where they worked on a low cost 4000 amplicon barcodes process for multiplex sequencing. In 2020, they worked as a Scientist for the Mixed Aquatic Biotechnology Laboratory (LMBA) - Paraná River Aquarium where they worked on a multidisciplinary project involving long molecule sequencing (Oxford Nanopore). Ignacio also contributed to the international GISAID database by publishing hundreds of complete SARS-COV-2 (Covid-19) genomes. In 2021, they began working as a Laboratory Operations Manager for ArgenTAG. Ignacio is currently working as an IndieBio (SOSV) acceleration program for BioLabs.

Ignacio Garcia Labari obtained a Licenciado en Biotecnología from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario in 2016, and a Bachiller Universitario con Mención en Química from the same university in 2014. Ignacio also holds a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge.
