Rik Smitz

Rik Smitz has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rik co-founded and owned Intermezzo, a retreat offering accommodations in tree huts and glamping tents, as well as "Wild Wellness" services for business retreats and teambuilding. Prior to this, they worked as Clinical Communication Lead at arGEN-X. Rik also founded Prezenta, a presentation consulting company that specializes in creating and delivering scientific presentations. Rik has extensive experience in managing clinical trials, having worked as a booster of clinical trials at GCP Freelance Service and as the General Manager Belgium at Clinical Research Assistance International BV, where they contributed to multiple clinical trials and also handled general management responsibilities.

Rik Smitz received their Master's degree in Economics from the University of Antwerp in the years 1989 to 1994. In 2014 to 2015, they pursued a Postgraduate degree in Business Event Management at Arteveldehogeschool. Following this, from 2016 to 2017, they completed another Postgraduate degree in Digital Storytelling KASK at HOGENT.
