Roland Derwand

Roland Derwand, Dr. med., MBA, currently serves as the Head of Medical Affairs for EMEA at argenx, a position held since November 2022. Prior experience includes leading Medical Affairs for EMEA at BridgeBio and holding multiple senior roles at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, including Executive Director and interim Head of Medical Affairs for various regions. Roland's career also encompasses significant roles in biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies such as LEUKOCARE AG, Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, and Servier. With a medical degree from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and an MBA from PFH Private Hochschule Göttingen, Roland has a strong foundation in both medicine and business, complemented by licensure in the United States.
