Erich Hofer

Erich Hofer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Erich currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at ARGO-HYTOS, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to this, they were the Group CFO and Member of the Executive Board at ARGO-HYTOS from January 2017 to June 2021, where they were responsible for internal and external transactions, budgeting and reporting systems, currency hedging structures, and worldwide cash management.

Before joining ARGO-HYTOS, Erich worked as the Head of Group IT Services at ARGO-HYTOS from March 2015 to December 2016, managing strategic growth initiatives and successfully restructuring the US subsidiary. Erich also served as the Director and Member of the Executive Board at HFE MAC LLC from October 2007 to October 2013.

Earlier in their career, Erich held leadership positions as the Group CFO and Member of the Executive Board at ARGO-HYTOS from February 2005 to September 2007, and as the Group CFO and Member of the Executive Board at SCHNEEBERGER Group from September 2001 to March 2004. Erich also worked as the CFO and Member of the Executive Team at Rittmeyer AG from January 1999 to June 2001, and as a Financial Controller at Zürcher Kantonalbank from January 1996 to July 1998.

Erich Hofer began their professional journey as a Financial Controller at Oerlikon Contraves from January 1990 to December 1995. Overall, they have a strong background in finance, leadership, and strategic management across various companies and sectors.

Erich Hofer holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance & Strategy from the University of Chicago, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Finance & Controlling at HWZ University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration Zurich from 1994 to 1996. Erich also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the same university, which they earned between 1989 and 1993.
