Leily Omoumi

Leily Omoumi has a strong background in the mining and finance industries. Leily is currently the Head of Corporate Development at Argonaut Gold Inc. since June 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Board Member at Aurion Resources Ltd. starting from March 2021. From February 2022 to April 2023, they worked as a VP Corporate Development - Consultant at Osino Resources Corp. Leily also served as the VP Corporate Development at Teranga Gold Corporation from March 2019 to March 2021. Before transitioning to corporate development roles, they worked as a Senior Analyst at BMO Global Asset Management U.S. from May 2014 to March 2019. Leily commenced their career as an Engineer at Hatch from April 2001 to August 2005. Within the finance sector, Leily held research positions at Scotiabank, initially as a Research Associate for Precious Metals from January 2007 to August 2010, and later as a Research Analyst for Precious Metals from August 2010 to January 2014.

Leily Omoumi holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Leily also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
