Laura Boon

Laura Boon currently serves as the Accelerator Safety Program Manager at Argonne National Laboratory, following a progression of roles that includes Technical Facilities and System Specialist and Postdoctoral Researcher. With extensive experience in accelerator physics, Laura's previous roles encompass work as a Systems Engineer at Matterport, where Laura enhanced camera production processes, and as an SPEAR3 Accelerator Physicist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, focusing on simulation projects. Laura's academic background includes a PhD in Accelerator Physics and an M.S. in Physics from Purdue University, complemented by research roles at various institutions, bringing a strong foundation in practical and theoretical aspects of physics and engineering.
