Jan Schiller

Jan Schiller has a diverse and extensive work experience in the media and marketing industry. Jan is currently the Chief Commercial Officer/Managing Director for ARGUS DATA INSIGHTS, where they are responsible for transforming the company from an analog media monitoring service provider to a fully digitalized SaaS media intelligence provider. Before that, they were the Managing Director for FUNKE, where they successfully repositioned and realigned the marketing unit to become a cross-media, integrated portfolio marketer. Jan also served as the Senior Vice President Sales for the BERLINER MORGENPOST, where they grew revenue and market share by expanding additional revenue sources.

Prior to these roles, Schiller worked at Axel Springer SE in various positions, including Sales Director for WELT-GRUPPE/BERLINER MORGENPOST, Anzeigenleiter for BERLINER MORGENPOST, and Key Account Manager for B.Z. & BILD Berlin-Brandenburg. Jan is credited with positioning the publications in the B2B market and developing cross-media brand campaigns.

Schiller also has experience outside of the media industry. Jan was the Head of Media & Sales for Apassionata, where they established an international tour and was responsible for the Europe-wide marketing strategy. Additionally, they served as the Country Manager for The Atlantic Times, where they successfully introduced a monthly German publication on the US market.

Jan Schiller obtained a Magister Artium degree in Germanistik, Geschichte, Kommunikations- und Medienwissenschaften from The University of Freiburg. Additionally, Jan has received certifications as a Sales Coach from accuo training + consulting Scheffer und Partner in November 2018 and in Scotwork Verhandlungstechniken from Scotwork, although the specific month and year of obtaining the latter certification are unknown.
