Josh Abel has a diverse work experience in various legal and political roles. Josh started their career as a Field Organizer for ORGANIZING FOR AMERICA, where they successfully developed a grassroots network of volunteers as part of President Obama's reelection campaign. Josh later interned at the U.S. House of Representatives and the DC Department of Health, where they conducted research, produced legal documents, and drafted regulations and cease and desist letters related to public health laws.
Josh also worked as a Federal Relations Coordinator for the Association of California Water Agencies, advocating on Capitol Hill for over 400 public water agencies in California. Josh engaged with hill staff and members on legislative issues, analyzed documents, and drafted articles and blog posts for the association's communications.
Most recently, Josh served as a Legal Intern at the Administrative Conference of the United States and is currently working as a Political Compliance Attorney at Aristotle.
Josh Abel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy from the University of Washington, graduating in 2011. Following this, they went on to pursue a Doctor of Law - JD degree at The George Washington University Law School, which they completed between 2018 and 2021.
