Yilin Chen

Yilin Chen has a background in data science and machine learning. From July 2016 to July 2018, Yilin worked as a Data Scientist at GroundTruth, where they conducted statistical research to improve product metrics and provided business insights. From July 2018 to October 2023, Yilin served as a Senior Software Engineer at GroundTruth, specializing in data and machine learning. In this role, they built ML systems and data pipelines, fine-tuned machine learning models, and deployed them to the product. Starting in December 2023, Yilin will be transitioning to a new role as a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Arity.

Yilin Chen holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which was obtained from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Optical Information Science & Technology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Laser and Optical Technology/Technician, from Beijing Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Yilin has obtained multiple certifications in various subjects, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and several Coursera and edX certifications in topics like machine learning, data science, and big data.
