Kalman Mannis

Kalman Mannis has extensive experience in the field of STEM education and research. Kalman began their career as a Junior High Teacher and Math and Science Specialist at Concho Elementary District from 2007 to 2011. Kalman then served as a STEM Education Specialist and Professional Coach at Navajo County Education Service Agency from 2011 to 2013. After that, they worked as a Secondary Education STEM Curriculum Designer at White River School District on the Fort Apache Reservation from 2013 to 2014. From 2013 to 2016, they were a STEM Specialist and Secondary School Science Teacher at Sequoia Charter Schools. In 2016, they joined Arizona Science Center as a Program Manager and Primary Investigator for rural, remote, and tribal research programs focusing on STEM learning opportunities. Additionally, they served as a Board Member and Chair at Navajo Apache Regional Council - Arizona First Things First from 2010 to 2018. Starting from 2018, they took on the role of Chief Education Officer at Bisbee Science and Research Center and Bisbee Science Lab. Kalman also owned and operated Sacred Grove Apothecary from 1987 to 2019.
