Noemi Garcia has a diverse work experience within the field of development and community service. Noemi is currently working as the Assistant Director of Development for The Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions at the ASU Foundation for A New American University. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Development at the Phoenix Center for the Arts, where they focused on promoting equity and providing access to arts and cultural experiences for the community. Noemi also held various roles at the Valley of the Sun United Way, including Senior Development Officer, Corporate and Foundation Relations Manager, and Development Officer. Noemi's experience in development also includes positions at Scottsdale Community Partners, Family Service Agency, Barrio Station, and La Casa de Don Pedro, where they utilized their skills in program management and grant writing to make a positive impact on various communities.
Noemi Garcia completed their education at various institutions over the years. In 2002, they attended Springfield College and earned a degree in Human Services with a concentration in Addiction Studies. From an unspecified start year, they studied Sociology with a focus on Non-Profit Administration at Rio Salado College. Recently, from 2021 to 2023, they pursued a degree in Public Policy at the ASU Watts College of Public Service & Community Solutions, School of Public Affairs. Noemi also obtained additional certifications, including a Professional Fundraising Certificate from Boston University in August 2022 and Human Centered Design Thinking certification from Acumen Academy in November 2017.
