Interim Director Biology Preprofessional Program at Arkansas State University

Maureen Dolan is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of biotechnology and biochemistry. Currently serving as the Director of Biotechnology Programs and Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Arkansas State University since August 2004, Maureen Dolan also holds the role of Faculty Advisor and Program Developer for the ABI Biotech Outreach Program, alongside contributions as a Research Assistant Professor at the Arkansas Biosciences Institute. In addition to this academic role, Maureen Dolan co-founded Nature West Inc. in 2005 and served as Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Applied Food Technologies, Inc. from 2004 until July 2015. Prior work experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at Virginia Tech University from 2000 to 2004 and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Florida from 1996 to 1999. Maureen Dolan holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida, a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from Quincy University.
