Véronique Stals has a diverse and extensive work experience in human resources. Véronique is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at ARLANXEO, where they lead and executes the people and organization strategy. Prior to that, they held the same position at Synthon. Before moving to Synthon, Véronique was the Owner and Partner at Human Power Advisory.

Earlier in their career, Véronique worked at Sanofi in various HR leadership roles. Véronique served as the VP, Global Project Lead for the WFA initiative and later became the VP, Head of Human Resources for the Primary Care Global Business Unit. Véronique also held the positions of Head of HR for the Latin America Region and Head of HR for the Turkey, Middle East, and Eurasia Zone at Sanofi.

Véronique's previous experience includes roles such as Deputy HR Director at Genzyme Europe B.V., where they were responsible for HR at the EMEA HQ/Benelux, and Consultant at TEL FSI, where they provided HR advice to a US-based semiconductor company. Véronique also worked as a Consultant at SGI Aviation, where they established the HR function from scratch.

Early in their career, Véronique served as the Group HR Director at Accenture (previously known as Seabury) and as the Head of HR Europe and Head of HR at the Global HQ of James Hardie Building Products. Véronique started their HR career at Hansgrohe Group as an HR Manager for a Dutch company called Cleopatra.

Véronique Stals holds a Master's Degree in Roman Languages (French & Spanish) from the University of Antwerp, which they obtained from 1988 to 1992. Véronique also completed a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Tilburg University from 2000 to 2001. In 2020 to 2021, they pursued Executive Education at INSEAD, specializing in "Leading in a transforming world." Furthermore, they studied Modern Greek at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 1992 to 1993 and completed their pre-university education at Collegium Marianum from 1981 to 1987. Véronique also holds additional certifications in various fields, including leadership, innovation, digital disruption, and corporate governance.
