Job Summary 


The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key strategic partner to the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in driving the financial health and growth of the company. The role will oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring alignment with our long-term business goals and play a pivotal role in managing investor relationships and fundraising. This role is key in ensuring the company's financial operations are managed with precision, transparency, and strategic foresight, particularly in the fast-paced SaaS environment.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities

a) Financial Planning and Analysis:

● Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. 
● Monitor and measure deviations from the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and key metrics, advising the CEO on the implications for cash flow planning. 
● Provide deep insights into SaaS financial metrics, benchmarking against industry standards to drive continuous improvement. 
● Strong financial planning background - Create an operating plan that achieves growth while wisely spending the capital.

b) Finance Leadership:

● Offer financial insights and strategic recommendations to the CEO and the ELT to guide key decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve financial performance by working closely with the CEO+ ELT. 
● Collaborate with the ELT while maintaining necessary checks and balances, sounding board on major investments. Ability to take tough investment decisions. 
● Sales aligned - Deep understanding of how sales and marketing efficiency and productivity works and be a close partner to the CRO. 
● Measure and report on the ROI of investments and key initiatives to ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.

c) Financial Reporting:

● Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP. 
● Own the periodic P&L presentation to the ELT and Board of Directors. 
● Oversee accurate bookkeeping and accounting processes, ensuring integrity in financial reporting.

d) Cash Flow Management:

● Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, implementing streamlined accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) policies. 
● Oversee cash flow planning and maintain strong relationships with banking partners to optimize liquidity and financial flexibility.

e) Treasury:

● Manage the company’s funds, balancing the need for safety and returns. 
● Deploy funds strategically to support company growth and financial stability.

f) Investor Relationships:

● Act as the primary point of contact for investors, managing communication on all financial metrics and requirements. 
● Provide transparency and confidence to investors through regular updates and insights. 

g) M&A Advisory:

● Lead financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions, providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board. 
● Evaluate potential deals, assessing financial viability and strategic fit. h) Compliance and Risk Management: 
● Ensure compliance with all financial regulations across different geographies, including the European and Indian offices.
● Oversee tax compliance and risk management, mitigating financial risks through proactive planning and control.

i) Team Leadership:

● Lead a multi-country finance team, including in-house staff and outsourced vendors/experts. 
● Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

j) Capital Raising:

● Guide the company on capital structures and lead due diligence processes for capital raising activities. 
● Manage both equity and debt financing efforts to support the company’s growth and financial needs.

Requirements Qualifications

a) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA in Finance or CPA preferred.
b) 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3-5 years in a senior finance leadership role within a SaaS Security company.
c) Proven track record in strategic financial leadership and managing investor relations.
d) Experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital structure guidance, and managing equity and debt financing.
e) Prior experience working in growth stage startup (Series B and above)
