Michel Vermette

Michel serves as President and CEO and is also a member of Armstrong Flooring's Board of Directors. He joined the company in September 2019. Michel is a longtime executive in the flooring industry and brings extensive financial, domestic and international operations and strategic expertise to Armstrong Flooring. Prior to joining the company, Michel served as President, Residential Carpet at Mohawk Industries, where he led market strategy, product development, manufacturing and innovation of the residential carpet business in North America. He has also served in leadership roles across the company's finance, sales and marketing, and business development operations, including President, Mohawk Group, and Chief Financial Officer of Mohawk Industries' North American Flooring Unit. At Mohawk Group, he launched the first Certified Living Product in flooring, and the organization was recognized regularly for top product awards. He joined Mohawk Industries in 2002, when the company acquired Dal-Tile. He holds a bachelor's degree in Management Accounting from the University of Quebec, in Montreal, Canada. He is fluent in French.
