Peter-Alberto Behrens

Peter-Alberto Behrens is an experienced professional in strategic consulting, public affairs, and communications management, currently serving as the Head of Programs & Communications at Arolsen Archives since February 2023. With a career spanning over two decades, Behrens has held senior advisory roles at P.A. Behrens and Berlin Global Advisors, where external advising focuses on the European Principal Group for Latin America. Previous experience includes advising the German Ministry of Cooperation & Development at GIZ, leading public affairs at Edelman, and directing programs related to media and democracy at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Behrens began their career as a communications consultant and has developed expertise in corporate and financial communications. Educational credentials include a Magister Artium in Political Sciences from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and studies at The University of Bonn, complemented by early education at the German School in Barcelona, Spain.
