Nelson Ahrens

Nelson Ahrens, GISP, currently serves as a GIS Analyst at Arora Engineers, Inc. since January 2022. Previously, Ahrens held roles as a GIS Technician at Mecklenburg County from December 2015 to December 2021, and as a GIS Analyst/Programmer for York County, South Carolina, from January 2009 to December 2015. Ahrens has also worked as a GIS/CAD Manager at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and AECOM - Transportation, and has experience as a Package Loader at UPS Freight and a CAD System Coordinator at Centex Homes. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and two Associate degrees from Central Piedmont Community College in Geographic Information Science and Cartography, and Information Technology.
