Ayan G.

Ayan G. has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on technology leadership, consulting, and collaboration. They currently hold the position of Vice President Product Engineering at Arqit since January 2021. Before that, Ayan worked as a Technical Advisor at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology starting in September 2020, where they provided guidance on future networks and led initiatives in 5G and OpenRAN. Ayan also had roles at Ofcom as a Head Of Industry Consultant, leading vendor engagements and providing industry expertise, and at BT as a Collaborative Trials Principal, overseeing cross-industry collaborative programs. Furthermore, Ayan held various positions at EE, Nokia, Motorola Solutions, and PowerOasis Ltd, where they contributed to the development and implementation of telecom solutions. Additionally, Ayan has experience in voluntary work as an ICT Governor at Birdlip Primary School.

Ayan G. has a diverse education history. Ayan obtained a BTech degree in Information Technology from The University of Burdwan in 2002. Prior to that, they attended the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology UMIST from 2002 to 2003, where they pursued an MSc degree in Computing Science. In 2001, Ayan G. also studied German at Max Muller Bhawan, specializing in German Studies. Before their university education, they attended Don Bosco Park Circus from 1986 to 1997, where they focused on science.
