Louise Douglas

Louise Douglas has extensive work experience in various roles, starting in 1999 and continuing to the present. Louise currently works as a Marketing/Technical Writer at Arria NLG since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Oceaneering from 2006 to 2020 in roles such as Inform Customer Success Engineer, ACET Support Specialist, Lead Technical Author, and Technical Author. At Oceaneering, they were involved in providing support for inspection systems, training and mentoring team members, creating documentation, and improving quality.

Before Oceaneering, Louise worked at EXPRO NORTH SEA LIMITED as a Corporate Communications Assistant in 2005, and at Defence Estates Housing Directorate, MOD as a Customer Care provider from 2004 to 2005. Louise also gained experience at Office Angels as an Office Temporary in 2004.

Earlier in their career, Louise worked as a Marketing Assistant at Librae Limited in 2004, where they engaged with customers, designed marketing materials, and promoted the product. Louise also worked at Axeon from 1999 to 2003, first as a Marketing Assistant and then as a Commercial Assistant. In these roles, they supported marketing activities, managed confidential business aspects, and handled finance and personnel tasks.

Louise Douglas has a diverse education history. In 1993, they began studying at Moray House Institute of Education, Heriot Watt University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Primary Education. Louise completed their studies in 1997.

In more recent years, from 2017 to 2018, Louise attended North East Scotland College to study British Sign Language. Louise completed a course in British Sign Language during this period.

Additionally, Louise has obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2012, they obtained an APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management from the Association for Project Management. In 2009, they completed the Advanced Technical Authoring Techniques course from Armada - Training and received a Certificate of Accomplishment in Adobe Captivate 4 from the MultiMedia Centre. The same year, they also completed courses in Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Adobe FrameMaker from Armada - Training. In 2008, Louise completed the Adobe RoboHelp 8: The Essentials course from Iconlogic. Prior to that, in 2006, they obtained an NDT Appreciation (BINDT Accredited) certificate from Oceaneering Asset Integrity and completed the AutoCAD 2000 Intermediate course from North East Scotland College.

Overall, Louise has a strong background in education, with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Primary Education, and they have also expanded their skills through additional certifications in project management, technical authoring, software programs, and more.
