Cox Terhorst

Scientific Advisor at Artax Biopharma

Dr. Terhorst is Chief of Immunology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Terhorst’s laboratory is interested in the assembly and signal transduction of the T cell receptor for antigen. They examine the role of the CD3 genes in thymocyte development and in T cell function in mice in which the CD3 genes have been eliminated by homologous recombination techniques. In addition, the mechanisms that govern expression of the three CD3 genes in early T cells are being studied. Dr. Terhorst received his PhD degree in molecular biology from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands.
