Leila Fahmy

Leila Fahmy is a Scientist at Artios since November 2022, following a tenure as a PhD Student at Better Origin from September 2018 to December 2022. Leila contributed as a COVID-19 Responder for the National Testing Programme at UK Biocentre in 2020 and gained experience as a Placement Student at The University of Sheffield, where Leila designed a feedback system using fluorescent proteins for quorum sensing in biological samples. Leila obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Biosciences from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Infection, Immunity & Human Disease from the University of Leeds, and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science from Sheffield Hallam University, enriching a solid academic foundation that began with GCSEs at Calder High School and continued through Huddersfield New College.
