Wim Janssens

Wim Janssens is a highly experienced pulmonologist currently working at UZ Leuven since July 2006, with a focus on COPD, functional evaluation, and respiratory rehabilitation. Since 2008, Wim has held the position of Professor and Senior Clinical Investigator at KU Leuven, where Wim also chairs the department of Chronic Diseases and Metabolism. In addition to clinical and academic roles, Wim co-founded ArtiQ in April 2019 and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Vlaamse Vereniging voor Respiratoire Gezondheidszorg en Tuberculosebestrijding since April 2020. Previously, Wim served as President of the Belgian Respiratory Society from January 2019 to January 2021. Academically, Wim holds a PhD in Medicine and a medical degree from KU Leuven, as well as a specialization in Respiratory Rehabilitation from UZ Leuven.
