Benjamin Runkle

Benjamin Runkle is a seasoned professional in national security and foreign policy, currently serving as a Senior Policy Fellow at Artis since November 2016. With extensive experience as an independent consultant for Senator Benjamin Sasse, Runkle has provided expert advice on defense and homeland security matters, contributing to discussions on various geopolitical issues. Runkle has held key positions, including Director of Programs at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs and Cybersecurity Advisor at the Department of Homeland Security. Previous roles include Professional Staff Member for the House Armed Services Committee and Political Scientist at RAND Corporation. Runkle, who served as a U.S. Army Captain during Operation Iraqi Freedom, has a PhD in Government/International Relations from Harvard University and a BA in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University.
