Regional Director – Intermediary Distribution (south Territory)

Artisan Partners is seeking a Regional Director to join the intermediary distribution team, supporting the Broker-Dealer and RIA channels in the South region.  Primary responsibilities include building an increased presence in coordination with sales, retention, and relationship-building activities in the territory, working closely with the reginal team in an effort to build and grow Artisan’s sales efforts. This position seeks an enthusiastic team player and a self-starter, who can effectively identify new investment opportunities, grow a sales territory, and articulate investment strategies and investment-related topics.

Location: Georgia or Florida

Responsibilities

The candidate can expect to:

• Cultivate and maintain existing client relationships
• Travel as necessary to conduct field meetings and attend conferences
• Proactively initiate daily calls to prospect targeted Financial Advisors
• Participate in the development and implementation of a territory business plan
• Profile producers to understand business models and cultivate new investment opportunities
• Execute client retention strategies
• Build and maintain the client/prospect database
• Identify sales and relationship development opportunities through profiling and sales reporting
• Remain well-informed of industry and competitor news and trends

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree
• FINRA Series 7 & 63 licenses
• At least 7 years of wholesaling experience
• CFA, CIMA or CAIA designation preferred or interest in pursuing
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to travel regularly within territory; Strong preference to someone living in Florida or Georgia
