Mili Mandal

Associate Director, Translational Science at Artiva Biotherapeutics

Mili Mandal has extensive work experience in the field of translational science and immunotherapy. Mili is currently serving as the Associate Director of Translational Science at Artiva Biotherapeutics since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Fate Therapeutics Inc as a Senior Scientist/Group Leader for CAR-T cancer immunotherapy from 2018 to 2021. Mili also held the position of an Associate Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where they were responsible for international immuno-oncology network research liaison and translational medicine from June 2017 to August 2018. Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, they worked as an Investigator in Translational Sciences, Immuno-Oncology at GSK from 2014 to 2017. Mili began their career as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Rutgers University from April 2012 to September 2014. Mili completed their Ph.D. from Rutgers University - Newark from August 2006 to March 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a Medical Cytogenetic Technologist at West Virginia Univ. Hospital from June 2005 to April 2006, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at West Virginia University from January 2003 to May 2005.

Mili Mandal's education history begins with their high school education at Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1984 to 1995. Mili then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences at Chatrapatti Shahu Ji Maharaj University, which they completed from 1996 to 2001. Mili continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Plant Sciences from 1997 to 2002. Following this, they attended West Virginia University from 2003 to 2005, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Plant and Soil Sciences. Finally, Mili enrolled at Rutgers University - Newark and achieved their Ph.D. in Molecular Pathology and Immunology, a program they attended from 2006 to 2012.
