Matthew Hadley

Matthew Hadley has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Matthew started their career in 2006 as a Production Associate at Honda Canada Inc., where they worked in the Weld and Paint departments, performing tasks such as MIG welding and assembly line work. Matthew also worked as a Production Associate at Simcoe Parts Services, delivering parts for an auto manufacturer and training associates on equipment.

In 2008, Matthew began working as a Freelance Writer for various publications and books, showcasing their writing skills. Matthew also worked as Event Staff at Badge Studios, participating in large-scale events such as trade shows, including the International Auto Show.

Matthew expanded their skills in event management and sound engineering as an Event Manager and Live Sound Engineer at The Foxx Lounge. In this role, they hosted events, dealt with bar staff and artists, and handled sound and lighting duties. Matthew further utilized their event management skills as a Venue Manager and Music Programmer at The Jam Factory, where they were responsible for organizing high-intensity events, booking events, managing staff and vendors, and maintaining the building.

Matthew also took on a role as a Building Operations Manager at Artscape, where they managed multiple residential and commercial buildings, community hubs, and over 100 tenants in the west end of Toronto. Matthew occasionally led small teams in building maintenance and renovations.

Throughout their career, Matthew also worked as a Handyman at Fix-It Friend, providing general repair and maintenance services. Matthew briefly worked as an Associate and Design Consultant at NAH Enterprises, where they performed landscaping duties and participated in landscape design.

Additionally, Matthew served as a Public Relations Manager at Soda Records, working closely with label artists to build fan bases and gain press coverage. Matthew arranged and managed public performances for the record label's roster.

Matthew Hadley attended Brock University from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications, Popular Culture, and Film. Matthew then furthered their education at Humber College from 2016 to 2017, completing Post-Graduate Studies in Arts Administration and Cultural Management.
