Pierluca Martella has a diverse work experience in product management, growth, business development, and project management. Pierluca is currently working at Artsy as a Principal Product Manager, focusing on the collector experience, discovery, and personalization. Prior to that, Martella worked at ASOS.com as a Senior Product Manager, where they led a team in implementing tailored experiences for customers, utilizing machine learning and signal-based discovery algorithms. Pierluca also worked on designing and implementing an AI-driven home feed to increase engagement and revenue. Martella co-founded Armadio, a direct-to-consumer eCommerce platform for Italian leather products, where they were responsible for product and growth. Pierluca also worked at AnsaldoBreda Inc. in business development and sales, significantly increasing revenues through strategic initiatives. Martella gained experience in growth marketing as a fellow at Tradecraft and served as a product manager at map2app, Inc., where they played a key role in pivoting the company from B2C to B2B. Additionally, they were a co-founder and product/growth leader at 46Sports, a platform that helps players showcase their sports careers. Martella started their career as a product manager at Beebell.com (formerly GigWme) and as a project manager at Econoetica.

Pierluca Martella has a diverse education history. In 2004 to 2005, they studied Web Development, Web Technologies, and Computer Networks at DTU - Technical University of Denmark. Pierluca then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science Engineering at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, completing it in 2006. Martella continued their education at the same university, earning a Master of Science degree in Management Engineering in 2009.

In 2013, Martella attended Mind the Bridge, where they completed a Startup School program with a focus on startups. The following year, in 2014, they attended Tradecraft and gained knowledge in Growth Marketing. Moving forward, Martella acquired specialization in Product Management at Product School in 2015.

Martella's education journey also included a short-term program at Y Combinator in 2016, where they focused on Business and Startups.

Additionally, Martella has obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills. In 2015, they received a certification in Product Management from Product School. Pierluca also completed various certifications at the University of Alberta, including Client Needs and Software Requirements in 2017, Software Processes and Agile Practices in 2017, and Software Product Management in 2017. Furthermore, Martella acquired the AI for Everyone certification from deeplearning.ai in 2020. Pierluca also completed a certification in Neil Blumenthal on Branding on LinkedIn in 2017.
