Dr. Florin-Joseph Vlad

Dr. Florin-Joseph Vlad has extensive work experience in the fragrance industry. Dr. Florin-Joseph started their career at National Starch and Chemical Company in 1997 as a Project Supervisor in R&D. In 1998, they joined Firmenich Inc, where they held multiple roles including Director of Technology Transfer in the Perfumery Division, Manager of the North America Home Care Group, and Manager of the Physical-Chemistry Laboratory. Dr. Florin-Joseph then moved to Agilex Flavors and Fragrances in 2010 as the VP of R&D and Innovation. In 2015, they joined Ungerer & Company as the Director of Fragrance Technologies and Applications. In 2009, Dr. Vlad founded C&A FragMetics Group, LLC. Currently, they are the Director of Fragrance Technology and Innovation at Arylessence, Inc, where they lead R&D efforts and external collaborations.

Dr. Florin-Joseph Vlad obtained their PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 1993 to 1997.
