David Bullock

David joined ASB in December 2018 as EGM Technology and Operations. Prior to this, David was EGM Technology Operations, Risk and Control at IAG.

David has extensive experience in financial services, having held a number of different roles at the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ), including CFO for the Retail Bank, Head of Innovation, and Head of Business Strategy and Operations for Retail. Most recently, he was BNZ's Executive Director for Products, Digital, Technology and Financial Crime.

Before working in financial services, David held roles in New Zealand and the UK with New Zealand Post, Thomson Reuters and Yahoo!

David has a special interest in digital technology, data management and engineering.

As a leader, David believes in the importance of hiring the best people and empowering them to do the best work of their careers. He is passionate about seeing people learn and improve their craft, and believes it's important to stay open and real in every conversation.

David has a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from the University of Auckland.
