Mark Sperling

SVP, Licensing at ASCAP

Mark Sperling is the Senior Vice President of Licensing at ASCAP. Mark has over fifteen years of experience in corporate finance, providing advisory services for companies ranging from early stage private ventures to Fortune 500 public companies. Mark has also assisted in marketing, structuring, and negotiation of early- to late-stage venture round financings in conjunction with equity private placements undertaken by Allen.

Sperling has transaction experience with clients including AOL, Activision, FEMSA, National Geographic, Oxygen, PBS, Samsung Electronics, Steinway Musical Instruments, The Coca-Cola Company, and Time Warner. Mark also has active involvement in Allen's sports media rights advisory practice, having worked with owners of MLB clubs and NBA teams as well as major sports leagues on media rights monetization opportunities including the creation of regional sports networks and national cable networks.

Sperling has structured and participated in multiple financing rounds and acted as Board observer for several early stage private companies.

Mark Sperling has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University.

Mark Sperling reports to Stephanie Ruyle, EVP, Licensing. They are on a team with John Johnson - SVP, Licensing, John Bonaccorso - VP, Customer Experience, and Hayley Dukes - VP, Licensing.
